The most famous Dogo Argentino
The most famous appearance of this breed was in the movie Bombón (El Perro). The story of this movie is simple, effective, humorous and gripping. The main character, Coco, is a skilled craftsmen, who tries to sell knives to oil workers, but nobody buys from him. Finally he decides to give two away for free. It is obvious that he is out of luck. He lives in a poorish apartment with his daughter and her kids. Otherwise, Coco is a good natured man and he helps a woman whose car broke down.
Somebody sees his courageous act and he is given a Dogo Argentino dog. Coco believes that the dog’s name is “Lechien” because it was written on his kennel, but this just means “the dog” in French. In the end he understand that actually the dog’s name is Bombón. Soon afterward his luck is unpredictably changed for the better. They go through together crazy adventures and they end up winning the first prize at the local dog show.
In this film we can see that the Dogo Argentino is a very good protector of you or your home and is very intelligent and courageous.
